Abstract A fourthorder multilayered crosscoupled filter realized by substrate integrated waveguide structure was proposed. A new topology was adopted to construct the filter. Due to the presence of the crosscoupling between nonadjacent resonators, two finite frequency transmission zeros near the passband are produced to improve the performance of the filter. The filter was designed and simulated by high frequency structure simulator (HFSS), and fabricated using eightlayer lowtemperature cofired ceramic (LTCC) technology. The measured results show a good agreement with the simulated results and validate the structures of the proposed filter.
