Abstract The rock material compression experiments were carried out and a pressure model relating compression ratio and particle size distribution to compression pressure was presented. The kinematics of rock material in crushing chamber was analyzed and a method for calculating the pressure distribution on cone crusher liners was proposed. Calculating the components of crushing pressure and putting them into wear prediction model, the liner wear of cone crusher was achieved. The results show that the model is consistent with the research data, and the prediction of wear is realized.
