Abstract The architecture of the MVB card was analyzed and the logic design of FPGA was described by VHDL language. A USB bus was used as an interface to realize the high speed data transmission between the FPGA and the computer, and the communication between the computer and the MVB card was realized by this way. The hardware design of the USB interface, the software design of the FPGA and the computer were described. Now, this MVB card is successfully used in underground train communication control systems.
