Abstract The ventilation model of the cargo hold loading refrigerated container was developed based on analogical theory. The criteria equation and the criteria number for the ventilation were introduced. The calculation of the Reynolds number and the application of the energy equation were analyzed. And the dimension of the model was calculated. The construction of experimental setup for cargo with reefer container was introduced, and the temperature distribution of cargo was measured. The research results are expected to contribute to the ventilation optimization.
