Abstract A modeling method for combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) systems based on both cluster and discriminate analysis was proposed, which can get the weightings of criteria, the optimized combination of criteria, the classification of the system and the discriminate function by analyzing the samples. In order to verify the proposed method, a case study was presented. The results show that this method can establish an accurate and reliable post-evaluation model for CCHP systems. By considering the weightings, value and characteristic of the criteria, the model established by the proposed method can evaluate the performance of CCHP systems roundly and reasonably.
