Abstract
Abstract: An approach was proposed to improve the minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR) beamforming bearing resolution by designing an enhancement factor in its weight vector which is known to be a principal factor in resolution improvement under a high signaltonoise ratio (SNR) condition. This method can provide improved bearing resolution not at the expense of the signaltonoise plus interference ratio gain. The simulation results show that this method can effectively improve the MVDR beamforming bearing resolution without losing the signaltonoise plus interference ratio gain.
