Abstract Abstract: To resolve the problem of nonovershooting position control of the unidirectional proportional pumpcontrolled asymmetric cylinder system, this paper proposed a threeorder state space model with constraints to describe the system of unidirectional proportional pumpcontrolled asymmetric cylinder. It also proposed a design of model predictive controller applicable to this model to guarantee its nonovershooting output. The simulation results indicate that the proposed method has successfully resolved the overshooting problem without introducing nonlinear characteristics, thus realizing the aim of highprecision position control under multiple constraints.
