Abstract： This paper presented a twostage optimization model defined as the minimum number of transporters and task completion time of ship block transportation to efficiently solve the block transportation scheduling in the shipyard. Two kinds of heuristic method based on genetic algorithm were proposed. The numerical experiment method was used to validate the model, and the results showed that the two proposed algorithms realized the efficient use of the transporters in shipyard.
