| Downlink Performance and Capacity of Improved Distributed Antennas System |

Abstract An improved cellular distributed antennas system (IDAS) configuration was proposed, which adopts directional antennas and lies them reasonably. Comparing with the existing cellular distributed antennas system (EDAS) configuration and traditional cellular (TC) configuration, both the theoretic analysis and simulations validate that IDAS can acquire lower symbol error probability and larger channel capacity especially in the adverse channel conditions. The influence of shadow fading to the signal transmission was also discussed.
