On April 8, 2026, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) celebrated its 130th anniversary. Over the past 130 years, the university has remained committed to its aspiration of building a “first-class university” and cultivating “first-class talent” while steadily fulfilling its mission to serve and advance the nation's development.
To mark this significant occasion, the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Journal Center has launched a special joint publication series — “Academic SJTU: Carrying Forward a Legacy of 130 Years” — bringing together multiple journals to present a cluster of special issues and columns. The participating journals span key disciplinary fields, including engineering, natural sciences, humanities, and medicine, showcasing cutting-edge research and scholarly excellence in three flagship areas: "Grand Ocean" "Grand Health" and "Grand Information". This collection of special issues serves as both a tribute to SJTU's 130-year legacy and a forward-looking commitment to the next chapter of our scientific journey.
