2014年始NMET全国新课标卷针对语法测量推出了新题型——语篇型语法填空题。本研究从新题型的实施对中小学英语教学可能产生的影响角度出发,运用语篇分析方法对新题型样本涉考点进行了多角度分析,以探查新题型考测到的能力性质,论证其构念效度和内容效度,并据此预测新题型实施可能对中小学英语语法教学产生的影响。样本分析显示,新题型体现出了多种意图和多种能力测量,在涉考点层次、性质和分布上恰当体现了语法作为意义构建资源的语篇语法观念,对鼓励语言综合运用能力培养具有很好的促学导向作用。本研究对探讨基于语篇考测手段的效度研究有很好的启发意义。
The National Matriculation English Test (NMET) employs a new item format: Text-based Grammatical Completion task. This paper reports a validation study on this new item format by means of a multi-dimensional discourse analysis with the intention to predict its potential washback effect on future EFL education in primary and middle schools in China. The case analysis of the 2014-item reveals multiple intentions of the test writers, and different kinds of competencies have been found to be elicited by the new item type, by which a new understanding of “grammar” is conveyed. The findings demonstrate that the implementation of the new test format will trigger a positive and facilitating washback effect on future primary and secondary EFL education in China. This research is significant not only in conducting a case analysis, but also in introducing a new method of text-based test method validation.
