外语教学应大力提倡有效教学,做到“教”有实效、“学”有实效。如何才能实现真正的有效教学呢？目前的教学现状是重教学法,而轻教学内容,尤其不注重词语教学,有的甚至完全否定了内容教学大纲的重要性。教学法固然重要,但是语言教学内容也不可偏废。语料库语言学是一门描写语言学,主要任务是处理意义,短语是意义分析的核心,这一纲领性思想对于我们开展有效英语教学具有重要启示。
