Abstract: With the accelerating speed of the implementation of Chinese culture going out strategy, the English translation of Chinese literature is gaining more attention among scholars all over the world and is being discussed heatedly. Thus, more lights are shed on the research of English translation status of Chinese literature. In general, we can see that people are using both macro and micro methods in researching the English translation of both classic and modern Chinese literature in a variety of domains. And the researches are becoming more and more professional. However, delighted as we may seem, we should never neglect the chaotic phenomenon existing nowadays, such as the stereotyped contents and some papers with poor quality. And only in this way can the research of English translation of Chinese literature develop in a right direction and become more influential.
