The Way to Construct a Chinese Translation Discourse System

Abstract

At the end of the 20th century the Chinese translation circle completed the “international junction” and introduction of western translation theories in large quantities, and then more scholars strive to construct the translation discourse system with Chinese characteristics. The last two decades have seen rapid development in this field, in particular, in the following four aspects: 1. originating translation theories, 2.bringing about many new translation terms; 3.working out standards and specifications of translation and interpreting, and 4. building novel modes of expression and communication.
