Abstract:

The rapid advancements of neuroimaging have provided support for characterizing structural and functional brain abnormalities associated with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). This article reviews the research progress of neuroimaging techniques in SLE from a “structure-function” integration perspective, aiming to consolidate the existing research approaches to SLE-related brain injury and to promote the development of multimodal research integrating clinical characteristics, brain structure and brain function.

Key words: neuroimaging, brain structure, brain function, systemic lupus erythematosus
