摘要： 在社会全面而又快速的转型过程中,在价值观念和生活方式日趋多元化的时代,学术精神和文学研究面临了严峻的挑战。本文旨在探讨学术精神与文学研究之间的关系,剖析我国英美文学研究现状与存在的问题,并对当前我国学者的治学与成才所需的条件与品质加以阐述。

Abstract: In the era of fast and comprehensive social transformation and the pluralization of human values and life styles, both our academic spirit and literary research are bound to face serious challenges. This paper is intended to explore the relationship between academic spirit and literary research, examine the current situation and problems of studies on English and American literature in China, and discuss the essential requirements and qualifications of Chinese scholars for their academic research and personal development.
