Abstract For Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) wireless systems with high frequency, deficiencies caused by Doppler frequency offset and the carrier phase noise are much higher,which will introduce InterCarrier Interference (ICI) and degrade the performance. Using channel segmentation,an equivalent method was presented in this paper,which transfers linear timevariant channel into the cascading of timeinvariant channel and timevariant channel with no delay. Then onedimensional equalization can be achieved at the receiver to suppress ICI, avoiding calculating the frequency domain channel response matrix and its inverse matrix. The analysis and simulation results show that, the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the complexity to O(N) with almost no performance loss, compared to the existing low complexity MMSE.
