Abstract An experimental platform for electrically-assisted incremental sheet forming (E ISF) was de signed and built in this paper.Influence of pulse current on geometric accuracy and wall thickness distribution of specimens in E-ISF were studied.The research results demonstrate that,electroplastic effect generated by pulse current can promote local deformation and improvc formability in E ISF process.With increasing pulse current density,the geometric errors and reduction ration of thickness in forming area increase at first and then decrease.The best forming result is achieved under pulse current density of 9.5 A/mm2.
