Abstract Ningbo railway station is a comprehensive urban transportation hub in soft soil area. The project, railway station and subway transfer station as the main body in combination with other modes of transportation, such as bus stop and short-distance passenger-transport bus station, was introduced. This paper focuses on the difficult technical problems in the construction of underground space integration, which include project planning, normal operation of both temporary bridge and existing railway line in the excavation, the security and stability of deep and large foundation pit, pit in foundation pit and adjacent foundation pit in the excavation, planning the structure as a whole and longitudinal settlement coupling. Moreover, on the basis of analysis, some reasonable effective technical measures were suggested to ensure the fast, highquality and economical construction of underground space integration.
