Abstract The current situation about the development of the underground space in China was summarized, and then the function of underground complex in city was analyzed, as well as the building mode of underground complex. The results show that the construction of underground complex with the opportunity for development of urban rail transit, can not only promote regional economic development, but also accelerate to form the layout of multi-center city. Besides, the construction mode of underground complex integration is worth to be promoted because of its obvious economic and social benefits, and is in conformity to the request of building a resource-conserving and environment-friendly society.
