The 2024 Editors-in-chief Conference of SJTU Medical-Engineering Interdisciplinary Journal Alliance successfully sought new ideas and methods to empower medical-engineering interdisciplinary journals, aiming to construct a collaborative academic ecosystem for medical-engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, to practice joint consultation, joint construction, and shared benefits, and to promote "organized journal management." The conference was successfully held on the afternoon of December 20 in the second-floor lecture hall of the Science and Education Building at Ruijin Hospital. Over 30 editors-in-chief and editorial directors from journals of Shanghai Jiao Tong University participated in the event.
Since its establishment in 2024, the SJTU Medical-Engineering Interdisciplinary Journal Alliance has been committed to building a collaborative academic ecosystem for medical-engineering, practicing joint consultation, joint construction, and shared benefits, and promoting "organized journal management." The alliance currently comprises 38 member journals, covering a range of A-class disciplines at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, including clinical medicine, biology, mechanical engineering, management science and engineering, computer science and technology, materials science and engineering, basic medicine, stomatology, biomedical engineering, chemistry, and electronic science and technology, forming a journal cluster with a pattern of "based on first-class discipline construction, multi-dimensional integration of medical-engineering intersection."
The journal cluster has been honored with the nomination for the China Publishing Government Award and has seen multiple journals selected for the "China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan" and the Ministry of Education's overseas science and technology journal return program, actively contributing to the support and construction of a strong science and technology nation.
