Abstract: The translation of conversation in children's adventure novels is the key to represent the style of original works. Conversation in children's adventure novels has distinctive features and bears the unique style of the works, which is the key to reflect the interest of the works, to shape the images of the characters and to achieve the function of literary education. And pragmatic meaning is the core element of the style of conversation. With the framework of social semiotics and a case study of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn of children's adventure novels, this paper mainly analyzes and compares the representation of stylistic conversation in the two translated versions from the perspective of identificational meaning, expressive meaning, associative meaning and social meaning included in the pragmatic meaning, to point out that translators of children's literature should fully catch the stylistic features of conversation, faithfully and comprehensively represent the pragmatic meaning of original works, and achieve the equivalence of original works and the translated version in a maximum, thus creating child-oriented literary works which can be better received and understood by children.
