西方修辞学在经历了相对萧条的发展期后,在20世纪初作为一门研究语言和意义的跨学科理论重新崛起。哲学家和文学批评家重新阐释修辞学,以求解决传统有关意义理论所提出来的一系列问题,当代西方修辞学进而在研究范式上呈现出历时性的转型态势。文章首先分析当代西方新修辞学的转型动因,然后重点从结构特征和理论形态两个方面论述其转型态势,试图厘清当代西方新修辞学理论研究格局与范式。
