本研究采用语料库,通过与本族语者对比,对中国英语学习者使用同译词“refuse/reject”的频率、搭配行为、类联接进行了仔细考辨。结果发现,中国英语学习者与英语本族语者在reject一词的使用频率上存在显著差异。在“refuse/reject”两个同译词的搭配使用上,他们也出现了一些搭配混淆的情况;在类联接模式上,他们表现出对某些类联接的偏好,并出现了同译词混用造成的非典型、语法违例的类联接形式。这些差异表明,中国英语学习者并没有完全掌握两个英语同译词的区别,这种不完全习得可能是由于共享的母语对译词占据了两个英语同译词的词条信息,使得两个词条发生重叠和融合所致。文章认为,在教学上,对同译词应该提供更多有针对性的练习,帮助学习者有效地建立起它们的词目信息,实现概念的独立通达,完成从词目中介到融合自主阶段的转变。
