本文在研究了美国《世界各种语言教学实用指南》的基础上,概述了《指南》的出台背景及主要内容,从沟通、文化、贯连、比较、社群五个方面介绍《指南》的实际应用;其次,深入剖析以上五个方面的标准内涵、教学活动标准,以及具体的评估范例表;再次揭示了《指南》对我国外语教学和外语教育政策的启示,即以标准为本进行教学评估,以标准为本对学生的表现进行评估,研发我国各个学段的整合表现评估表和语言能力进度指标。建议教师在实际教学中重视沟通能力和文化能力,在教学中凸显语言学习的迁移及语言学习的策略能力,重点突出教学大纲的应用和指导作用。最后,从具体内容、研制步骤、推进策略三个方面探讨了开发我国各学段英语教学实用指南的思路。
