“新文科”到底是怎样的一场教学改革?

What Kind of Educational Reform is the New Liberal Arts?

摘要

新人文(new liberal arts)在80年代由美国Sloan基金会资助在文理学院推出。2017年前后Hiram文理学院又以不同的理念和视角出台了“新人文”教改。教育部结合中国国情也提出了“新文科”建设议题。由于liberal arts被译成“文科”,许多学者简单地误以为“新文科”就是教学上的文理融合。也有学者认为新文科只是人文学科的改革。本文考察liberal arts的基本内涵和外延,介绍新文科和新人文的区别,分析Sloan 基金会和Hiram文理学院的“新文科”在理念和实践上的异同,从而揭示“新文科”是新时代条件下对liberal arts教学的全方位系统改革。新文科建设对英语本科教学所带来的挑战更加严峻。
