内蒙古当代诗人用蒙古语原创的诗歌蔚为大观,是中国当代文学不可或缺的部分。其中有很大一部分诗作已有广为流传的汉译版,而在汉译版本的基础上,有一小部分已被选译成了英语,这些外译诗作使内蒙古诗歌得以在更广阔的文学空间内传播。本文在对比了特·赛音巴雅尔主编的《中国蒙古族当代诗歌选》(汉文版)和王可翻译的英译版之后,发现英文译文要想保持源语言诗歌的韵味,有时需要越过汉语版追溯蒙古语信息、再造原有意境、突出诗人个性、巧妙选择词汇,并充分运用目标语的组音手段制造音乐美感。

The poems written in Mongolian by contemporary Inner Mongolian poets are indispensable to contemporary Chinese literature. A large part of these poems have been widely circulated in Chinese, and based on the Chinese version, a small part of them have been selected to be translated into foreign languages, which enables Inner Mongolia poetry to spread in a wider literary space. After comparing Selected Poems by China's Contemporary Poets of Mongolian Ethnicity (Chinese version) with its English translation, this paper shows that if the translator wants to keep the flavor of source-language poems, it is sometimes necessary to retrieve information from the poems in Mongolian, recreate the imaginary world, set out each poet's individuality, choose the best words, and take full advantage of target-language poetic devices to get the musical effect.
