Treatment Outcomes for Single Internal Malleolus Fracture by Using Absorbable Screws

Abstract

Objective To study the curative effect of internal malleolus fracture treated with absorbable screws. Methods Totally 42 patients with single internal malleolus fracture were treated using absorbable screws, and then external fixation by plaster cast for 3-4 weeks. Results All the patients were followed up for 3-24 months, and 39 patients (92.9%) were rated as excellent. Conclusion Absorbable screws is an effective way to treat single internal malleolus fracture.
