Abstract Traditional data association methods rely solely on spatial position information to associate measurements with tracks. When multiple target trajectories approach or cross each other, the association probabilities between different measurements and tracks tend to become uniform, leading to misassociation or target loss. To address this issue, this paper proposes a refined data association method aided by multidimensional information. Building upon spatial position likelihood, the proposed method introduces target central cell amplitude and echo structure information, reformulating the data association problem as a joint probabilistic data association problem integrating spatial position and multidimensional feature signals. Furthermore, based on the interacting multiple model (IMM) framework, the proposed method achieves efficient integration of refined data association with model interaction, significantly enhancing data association reliability under motion model uncertainty. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively improves the association success rate and significantly enhances tracking accuracy in complex scenarios.
