Abstract: Large amount of oil and gas resources are stored in Bohai, the annual sea ice in winter has influenced the normal production and development of the offshore platform. The influence factors are various：including impact force produced by floating ice, extrusion pressure produced by the whole ice, friction between sea ice and jacket as well as ice-induced vibration. To reduce the disasters brought by sea ice, recommendations are introduced： increase research and development on the ice-resistant structures, improve the design load of the jacket and establish detection and emergency response mechanism on sea ice gradually.
