理工科大学英语课程需求分析——以上海理工大学为例

摘要/Abstract

摘要： 本文采用问卷的方式对某所理工类院校在校生、教师和历届毕业生等1000余人进行调查,通过社会科学统计软件包SPSS 19.0运用描述性统计、独立样本t检验和单因素方差分析考察理工科大学英语课程的需求。结果显示,师生对目前实施的大学英语课程并不完全认可,并对此提出了意见与建议。笔者鉴于调查数据,提出了些许建议,以期促进大学英语课程的改善,更好地满足学生用英语进行专业学习和研究的需要。

Abstract: A questionnaire survey was conducted over more than 1000 college students, previous graduates and teachers of a university of science and technology. Data were analyzed through SPSS 19.0 by means of Descriptive Statistics, Independent-samples t -test and One-way ANOVA to investigate the participants' needs on College English Courses. Results show that teachers and students are not satisfied with the current course in various aspects. Based on the survey results, the authors put forward several suggestions on the improvement of college English courses so as to better meet the needs of Science and Engineering Majors for further specialized study and research.
