莎士比亚戏剧汉译本中“good”评价意义的再现研究

摘要： 本文利用莎士比亚戏剧英汉平行语料库,对莎士比亚戏剧梁译本和朱译本中“good”评价意义再现的共性和差异进行了较为深入的分析。研究表明,梁译本和朱译本均能较为准确地把握并成功再现莎士比亚戏剧中“good”态度意义和级差意义。不过,朱译本的显化、强化及锐化趋势均比梁译本显著。应当指出,莎士比亚戏剧梁译本和朱译本在“good”评价意义再现方面之所以呈现差异,主要是由于译者翻译目的、目标读者和主观介入程度的差异。

Abstract: The present paper, based on the use of the English-Chinese Parallel Corpus of Shakespeare’s plays, investigates the similarities and differences in the representation of the appraisal meaning of “good” between the Chinese translations of Shakespeare’s plays by Liang Shiqiu and Zhu Shenghao. The results of the investigation show that the two Chinese translations represent the appraisal meaning of “good” quite well, but compared with Liang’s translation, Zhu’s translation exhibit greater tendency towards explicitation, intensification and sharpening. It is argued that this difference is attributable to the differences between the two translations in terms of translation purposes, target readerships and the involvement by the translators.
