关联理论视域下英文影视字幕汉译隐化策略的理据研究

摘要/Abstract

摘要： 作为一种特殊的文学形式,影视字幕兼具浓缩性、多模态性和受众取向的特点。按照关联理论的最佳关联性原则,影视字幕翻译应以译语形式实现影视制作者的交际意图为终极目标。文章认为,源于英语和汉语本身的特点,在关联理论框架内无论从文本因素、读者因素还是语言因素来考量,隐化策略的运用是电影字幕英译汉的必然选择。

Abstract: Subtitles, as a special type of texts, are characteristic of condensation, multimodality and audience-orientedness. In the light of the principle of optimal relevance, subtitling aims at conveying efficiently the movie author's communicative intention to the target audiences in the target language. In view of Relevance Theory, due to diverse features of English and Chinese, implicitation in E-C subtitling is an inevitable option from the perspectives of textual factors, target audience and linguistic structure.
