第二语言加工研究起源于20世纪80年代,是心理学在第二语言研究上的延伸。基于文献资料与实例说明,本文界定了第二语言加工的跨语言特性、厘清了研究内容的分支、介绍了研究途径与方法、分析了研究推进中的阻碍。第二语言加工研究具有课题上、方法论上的独特性,但又与相邻学科紧密相连:植根于心理学,与理论语言学研究、儿童语言发展研究、脑科学研究紧密交接,尤其是第二语言习得研究。研究提出,必须加强跨学科的合作交流、融合贯通、凸显特性,才能促使第二语言加工成为统一而独立的学科。
This paper provides an overview of the emerging field of second language processing research. It defines what second language processing is, outlines research topics and areas in this field, identifies its methodological approaches, and discusses the relationship between second language processing research and second language acquisition research.
