当代美国生态诗人斯奈德同时是一位中国文学的英译者,他翻译的唐诗尤其是寒山诗在英语世界产生了广泛而深远的影响,学界对其翻译的忠实性及风格等方面的探讨也一直不断,并引起争论。本文借由生态批评视角重新审视斯奈德的英译唐诗,从处所意识、放弃的美学、自然的人格化等方面考察斯奈德的翻译选择、翻译方法和对原文的故意曲解与误译,揭示斯奈德为濒危的世界翻译的特殊意义以及生态批评对翻译研究的价值。
