评价系统自诞生以来就被广泛应用于分析各类语篇,其中新闻语篇以其丰富的态度资源和客观之中蕴含主观的特性而受到语篇分析学者的青睐,且研究成果颇丰,但用评价系统来揭示新闻语篇中的身份建构的研究并不多见。本文以评价理论为依据,分析《悉尼先锋晨报》的一篇新闻报道中的态度资源与身份建构的关系。研究发现,态度资源对新闻语篇中的身份建构和身份平衡起着至关重要的作用。
Appraisal Theory has been widely applied to analyses of various discourses, among which the appraisal analysis of media discourse has produced fruitful results. However, few researches have been done on the identity construction through appraisal analysis. This paper, based on the Appraisal Theory, analyzes the attitudinal resources employed in the journalistic discourse “Trayvon Martin Could Have Been Me: Obama” published on The Sydney Morning Herald. It is found through the analysis that the attitudinal resources are essential to construe and balance the identities in a discourse.
