吴元迈先生是我国著名的马克思主义文艺理论家与俄苏文学专家。在长达六十余年的学术生涯中,他始终立足于中国语境、中国立场与中国文艺批评的现实需求,以马克思主义为指导,对文艺与意识形态的关系、俄苏文论的演进、当代西方文论的局限性、外国文学研究的中国意识与全球意识等问题进行了长期而深入的探索,推动了马克思主义文论的中国化,为中国特色文学话语体系建设作出了历史性贡献。

Wu Yuanmai is a renowned Marxist literary and art theorist and an expert in Russian and Soviet literature in China. Throughout his 60-year academic career, he has persisted in the Chinese context, Chinese stance, and the practical needs of Chinese literary criticism. Guided by Marxism, he has conducted extensive and in-depth research on the relationship between literature and ideology, the evolution of Russian and Soviet literary theory, limitations of contemporary Western literary theory, Chinese and global consciousness in foreign literature research and other issues. His work promotes the Sinicization of Marxist literary theory and makes historic contributions to the construction of a unique Chinese literary discourse system.
