Abstract: Based on the proposition of translatability of Yijing, the paper attempts to argue against the views from Chen Daliang’s “Theoretical, Practical and Methodological Issues of Ideorealm’s Untranslatability”, maintaining that (1) there is not any substantial difference between intra-lingual and inter-lingual translation in delivering Yijing of Chinese classic poetry; (2) Yijing cannot be delivered by using the prevalent translation strategies; (3) Kant aesthetics does not hold true with the interpretation of Yijing of Chinese classic poetry. Finally, the paper tries to inquire whether copying of Chinese image will produce the same effect on the target language readers as on the source language readers from the view of poetic ideology.
