On the Reform of English Major Education in Ethnic Minority Areas Guided by National Standards of Teaching Quality for Undergraduate English Majors

Abstract: National Standards of Teaching Quality for Undergraduate English Majors to be issued brings about both new opportunities and new challenges to undergraduate English major education. This paper puts forth some macroscopic reform suggestions on English major education in ethnic minority areas based on interpretations of National Standards of Teaching Quality for Undergraduate English Majorsfirst historically and then in the perspective of ethnic minority areas.
