Abstract: Discipline-based enrollment strategy is an important progress in tertiary education. Accordingly, School of Foreign Languages, Zhejiang Gongshang University, carried two different education modes for English majors enrolled in 2017 and in 2018 respectively. This paper tracks and examines the features, advantages and benefits of the modes with the aim at exploring an optimal path and effective measures for the development of talent cultivation in our school, and to provide references for other institutions in terms of the relevant educational innovation.
