The Analysis of the Characteristics of the karauta of the Samyrai School in the Sengoku Period in Japan

Abstract:

In the history of Japanese literature, the karauta of the Samurai School in the Sengoku Period is a marginalized heterogeneous literature element with distinct characteristics of its times and shows differences from the overall characteristics of Japanese literature. The research collects the main poems of the Samurai School, excavates the distinctive theme of the Sengoku times, analyses the straightforward and fresh writing style as well as the jueju genre of the poems, in order to demonstrate that the Sengoku Period is an important transition stage in the development history of karauta in Japan, to make the framework of ancient Japanese literature more complete and add a new perspective to the study of literature before and after the period.
