A Study of Ecological Niche of English Teachers in Higher Vocational Colleges

Abstract

With the development of the times, the original living condition and professional status of English teachers in higher vocational colleges have been broken. This paper tries to analyze the present living condition of English teachers' in Higher Vocational college from the viewpoint of ecology. The result shows that there is a deviation between the actual "state" and the required "state" of English teachers in Higher Vocational colleges. Further analysis finds that six factors, including professional knowledge and skills, information literacy, school management system, the needs of students and the requirements of the times have positive influence relation with English teachers' living condition in higher vocational colleges.
