Abstract In this paper, a fast erecting method based on sliding hinge point is proposed to meet the requirement of fast erecting under heavy load. According to the motion solution of the proposed erecting mechanism, and combined with the boundary conditions in the actual working process for optimal design and multi-body dynamics simulation-analysis,the accuracy and rationality of the theoretical calculation and simulation results are verified.
