Clinical Application of Manual Lymph Drainage on Patients of Lymphedema with Subclinical Infection

Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of manual lymph drainage(MLD) therapy on lymphedema with subclinical infection.Methods From July 2006 to April 2008,14 patients of limb lymphedema with subclinical infection were treated by MLD.Changes of local skin infection and edema of affected limb were used to evaluate the efficacy.Results Skin subclinical infection was controlled in all the patients and limb lymphedema decreased significantly(P<0.05).Conclusion MLD may be a good way to treat lymphedema with subcl...
