Effect of Different Materials of Bandages on Heat and Bandage Treatment for Lymphedema

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the effect of low-stretch bandages and traditional high-stretch bandages on heat and bandage treatment for lymphedema. Methods From May 2007 to September 2007, 37 cases with primary lymphedema of lower limb were given heat and bandage treatment. Among them, 12 cases used low-stretch bandages, 25 cases used traditional high-stretch bandages. After a course of treatment, the changes of circumference and volume of limb were detected.
