Abstract: Alveolar cleft is a congenital craniofacial deformity caused by the fusion disorder of medial nasal process and maxillary process during embryonic development. Bone transplantation is the main treatment. At present, in the repair treatment of alveolar cleft, a large number of scholars are still exploring: when to carry out operation, the selection of different repair materials, the effect of adding various auxiliary materials on osteogenesis, and how to avoid the exposure and infection of the operation area. In this paper, the new research progress in the treatment of alveolar cleft was reviewed.
