Clinical Application of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy in Chronic Lower Extremity Wounds

Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical effect of negative pressure wound therapy in treating chronic lower extremity wounds.Methods From January 2018 to October 2018,a total of 23 cases with chronic ulcer of lower extremity were treated with negative pressure wound therapy,the therapeutic effect was observed.Results The effective rate of the treatment was 95%.One month follow-up after discharge showed good wound healing and no dysfunction of affected limb.Conclusion Negative pressure wound therapy for treating chronic lower extremity wounds can effectively promote wound healing,prevent wound disunion,avoid amputation,and is worthy of clinical application.
