Abstract: Graphene is a kind of atomic crystal nanomaterial arranged in a two-dimensional structure with extraordinary physicochemical properties, which have been extensively employed in various fields. However the application of graphene in regenerative medicine is still in an early phase. In this paper, the study of toxicity of graphene-based materials and its ability of inducing stem cell differentiation into osteogenic, neuronal, cardiomyogenic and adipogenic lineages were reviewed.
