Abstract: Photodynamic therapy interacted with light by activating photosensitive agents to produce singlet oxygen resulting in targeted cell death.It has been widely used in the treatment of various epithelial tumors.Recently,it has been also proved to be efficient in many non-malignant diseases.The recent progress on photodynamic therapy and its application in malignant and non-malignant skin disorders will be reviewed in this article.
