Nursing care of patients with facial and cervical scar treated with expanded superficial temporal island flap combined with laser hair removal

Abstract:

 Objective To explore the nursing methods for patients with facial and neck scar treated by expanded superficial
temporal island flap combined with laser hair removal. Methods From January 2015 to December 2018, 10 patients with
facial and neck scars were treated with expanded superficial temporal island flap combined with laser hair removal. During the
treatment, psychological care, skin care, posture care, wound care and laser care were given. Results A total of 10 cases were
reviewed in this group. After postoperative nursing, only 1 case had postoperative blood circulation disorder, which belonged
to venous reflux disorder. After 48 hours of intermittent acupuncture and bloodletting, blood circulation of the flap gradually
stabilized. After 1 year follow-up, all the 10 flaps survived completely, with good appearance and improved function of the face
and neck. Conclusion For the treatment of facial and neck scar with expanded superficial temporal island flap combined
with laser hair removal, timely and effective perioperative nursing and laser hair removal treatment can effectively reduce the
occurrence of complications.
